Going makeup free

As I get older each passing year I feel like I am getting more and more confident about my self in general…

I am in my 30’s and I still love to experiment with make up even if my taste has changed so much. However something that became each year more and more consistent is finding a good skin care routine…. and going make up free crossed my mind more than once but never got passed 8 days in a row without having to put foundation or concealer for some reason.

So considering I was going to stay at home all day because of these crazy and unreal times I thought that I could give A REAL TRY AND GO MAKEUP FREE ….and today is officially 30 days since I last wore any foundation!

Not going to lie the first week to 10 days my skin felt ok-ish but looked terribly dull and a bit patchy with few breakouts here and there. But each day it kept on getting better and better …and now I am pleasantly surprised with the results of sticking to all the steps of my skin care which are definitely paying off!

I have started including in my routine more and more face mask, serums and face oils and honestly I can see and feel a great difference, in my skin which now feels way more compact, smoother and with way smaller pores.

Dark circles under eyes are unfortunately part of my genetic gifts because I can’t seem to find a decent cream or treatment that makes a real difference, so if you have any advise on this matter please do let me know! 🙂

I hope I can keep up with this routine I still love makeup but I really would not mind using less foundation in the future.

So what do you think, have you considered going make up free as well?please do let me know I am very curious about it!

Ok…I think that’s it for today everyone! Going back to “doing nothing” other than snacking while catching up on Netflix 😉

Love

  1. Awesome post! I’ve gone makeup-free before and it helped my skin improve, however that was back when I wasn’t using the best skincare and makeup products for me in the first place. My current routine makes my skin much better. I’m also genetically gifted with dark circles and haven’t found many effective remedies over the years, but I’ll share those I do find useful. If you use aloe vera gels, you can put it in the fridge for 15-20min, then apply a layer under the eyes for 15min, then rinse – it hydrates the area very well. It’s important though to use good quality aloe gel (I use this one https://youandmeandcupofcoffee.com/2020/02/06/missha-premium-aloe-soothing-gel-review-analysis-of-all-ingredients/). Creams don’t work for me either and only one eye cream actually made a difference – my favorite https://youandmeandcupofcoffee.com/2019/12/28/etude-house-moistfull-collagen-eye-cream-review/). I find that gel-like eye creams kind of make the area look worse, same as greasy ones, but this cream has whipped and very hydrating formula. Hope it’ll help ❤️❤️
